My current mini-crisis is with Wavepad. Whenever I try to record something, it wants to record at max volume, which seriously distorts the sound. I’ve diddled and fiddled with every volume control on my system, to no avail. Actually it does work at first, in that the appropriate settings can be changed, but the moment I go back to Wavepad and hit record, everything switches to max volume again. Even when I exit the program I need to reset the volume because Jaws gets turned way up. I’m not even sure if this is a problem with the sound editor or a problem with my system’s volume controls. If anyone can tell me what might be going on and how to deal with it that would be awesome. Hell, I’ll give you all my points if you want. Not like they’re worth much anyway, but whatever. lol
Oh, almost forgot specs. I’m working with an Asus EEE PC Netbook running WinXP. Maybe it’s a Netbook issue?
